Self-portrait

What a year it has been (and still not over yet)!

It has been an amazing year!  There have been high and lows, ups and downs, but for the most part, there are not many things to complain about.

In my previous post (click here), I outlined how I took control of my health and lost 50 pounds which has led to many other incredible changes in my personal life.  I have become more active and joined a basketball league last summer with 40 other men from my town.  I had not stepped foot onto a basketball court in almost 10 years.  Relearning how to play has been difficult and I constantly make mistakes that I used to not make.  However, I have noticed that I am slowly making progress every week which has increased my playing level and confidence.

The changes to my personality have been the most surprising thing.  I am now more outgoing and actively seek out conversations, not just with friends, but new people that I meet on a regular basis.  My family, my friends and even my co-workers have all commented on how different I have become.  I have broken out of my former shell.  I am pleased about the changes I have experienced in the last year and look forward what lies ahead in the future. I hope this can inspire you to start taking the first step to realizing your potential.  Thank you for checking out my site!
